HUMIC ACID

Humic acid supports the body to stimulate specific lymphocyte functions that are important in dealing with opportunistic infections by helping to increase the production of an important growth factor called interleukin-2 according to research. Humates support the body to inhibit the binding of inflammatory cells to specific sticky molecules on the walls of blood vessels in the vicinity of inflammation. Humates may also inhibit the release of certain substances by white blood cells that are responsible for the tissue damage at the site of inflammation. It may also protect areas of existing inflammation. Humacel has been studied against viral infestation and has shown strong immune supportive capabilities. Numerous studies have shown it to be able to support the immune system’s ability to limit or reduce the transfer of viruses, allowing the immune system to be able to recover quicker and defend better.

Humic acid occurs naturally in peat soil, brown coal and drinking water. Mud baths rich in peat were used to treat rheumatic arthritis during the 19th century. Peat was also used during WW1 to treat wounds, amputations, prevent infections, relieve pain and facilitate healing. Therapeutic properties include anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic and antitoxic supportive qualities.

Humic acid possesses anti-viral activity. it can support the body in preventing the absorption of a virus to cell surfaces by inhibiting viral attachment to target cells and by blocking the glycoproteins (the sticky binding sites) on virus surfaces. The process of attachment to a host cell is halted, thereby arresting or slowing down the viral replication. Humic acid is a mixture of acids that seem to be attracted to and can bind to charged ions for improved free radical scavenging, as well as antioxidant support. They can support the distribution of nutrients and have strong toxin and heavy metal binding qualities, so they are perfect for heavy metal detox. They seem to support the binding of molecules such as glycoproteins, which are components of cell walls, therefore supporting better cell to cell communication. They may support the binding and communication with T cells and killer immune cells. This may increase the immune response that people feel. Humic acid has been studied on how it affects various viruses including HIV. It has been shown to drastically lower the viral count in aids patients. There are so many benefits to taking humic and fulvic acid. The more we study them, the better they look. What is the difference between fulvic and humic acid?

If there was only one supplement I could take, it would be humacel. It makes a profound difference in how I feel and how my immune system responds. I have not missed a day of work in a long time and humacel has a lot to do with it. I have been taking humacel for 10 years and wouldn’t be without It.  My personal research and experience has shown that humic acid also seems to be somewhat effective against intra-cellular pathogens by supporting the immune systems response to them. It seems to work even better when used in conjunction with resveratrol.

My bother has chronic fatigue, arthritis etc. He feels it was from being bitten by several ticks in his late teens. He takes 2 humacel and 1 resveratrol daily. This keeps him functioning at a much higher level. Without this support, he can’t work and is in so much pain and has mental fog. He has been on it for over 9 years and won’t go without it. Many of my past and present patients take it as well.
