Can You Get From A to Z with Detox Alone?

detox word over vegies

Detoxification is an important aspect in our overall health program, especially with all of the chemicals and toxins we are exposed to these days through our food, water and air. Why are so many people who are avid detoxifiers and clean eaters still having issues with their health? Toxins are a component of the overall picture and something we don’t want in our systems, agreed. The question then asked is can you go from A to Z with detox alone and eating a pure diet? The answer in most cases is no. While toxins are important, lingering pathogens are and always have been the number one cause of both acute and chronic illness.  Unfortunately, the lack of educated alternative doctors and health professionals have led us down the detox only highway claiming everything is a toxin.

My book shares a much bigger picture of what else may be going on besides toxins. Lingering pathogens (chronic infections) are the main culprits. While the medical media still focuses on aids, herpes and perceived viral factors, there is a huge lack of awareness of what else is going on. When I have a new patient that has done proper detoxification work (A to detox), they are in a better position going forward for other modalities and protocols (E to Z) to work more successfully. It wasn’t a waste of time or money but a solid start in the right direction.

The bottom line is detox is just the beginning of the journey and many patients who have done their detox work may still have major symptomology. They are at least out of the starting gate to better overall health. If you have a chronic condition that never seems to go away, it may not be a detoxification issue but more likely a chronic infection that has gone undiagnosed and untreated. I have spent over 22 years doing enormous research into chronic infections along with allergic sensitivities and their ability to create both acute and long-term illness. Patients and health care professionals need to be educated in their understanding of a much bigger picture going on.
